A chartered structural engineer with over 20 years design and experience within the construction industry, Bola co-founded Tisserin Engineers in 2019 and is now the solo owner of the 8 person practice. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Structural Engineers and was elected an Honorary Fellow of the  Royal Institute of British Architects in 2024.

Bola has worked on a wide variety of buildings, particularly community buildings such as sports and leisure, faith buildings, youth centres and the renovation and retrofit of existing buildings. He is an expert in timber design and has been delivering the Timber and Hybrid Structures design module to part 2 architectural students at the Architectural Association (AA). And has previously held  teaching posts at UAL Central Saint Martins, Royal College of Art and UCL.

With over 20 years experience in construction, David has worked in a range of sectors including concrete, marine, drainage, steel and timber frame structures.

He has been a CAD manager for a number of consultants, gaining vast experience in Reinforced Conceret detailing, liaising with architects on projects up to the value of £20 million, and the assessment of existing and Listed Buildings. He is experienced in working within a BIM level 2 environment. At Tisserin, David heads up the drawing production and ensures quality compliance within the office.

A civil and structural engineer with over 25 years of wide ranging experience in the UK construction industry.Hands on experience of a range of project types from new build commercial to heritage restoration and refurbishment. Proven track record of leading teams, collaborating with clients and leading on design/project management disciplines with commercial acumen. Familiar with both traditional methods and contemporary techniques, and with all common procurement routes and roles.
