Wolves Lane is an ambitious sustainable new build scheme with the focus of low carbon construction and community engagement to improve the public and community spaces on the existing site.

The Brief

The site is currently being used a horticultural centre for various community groups including OrganicLea and Ubele. The improvements on the site draw from circular economy principles and will include a new community hall linked to the greenhouses by a canopy, a new classroom / education facility and thoughtfully landscaped courtyards supporting biodiversity.

The Design

Tisserin has been involved from a very early stage, advising and designing sustainable solutions for the site including the timber frame, straw-bale construction and stone foundations. The project is currently on site.
