Tisserin were approached to design and detail a standalone CLT and Glulam structure to house a mezzanine food court within the public reception of a new office and community hub complex by Santander in Milton Keynes which opened to the public in autumn 2023.

Working closely with the timber fabricator, we designed a robust open sided structure to house a number of food outlets on two levels with views over the indoor reception area. We also designed the timber to timber and timber to concrete connections, and tested the stability to ensure that the structure met the stringent requirements for public buildings.
