Commissioned as part of the National Lottery’s 30th Anniversary celebrations, a series of seven portraits of inspiring individuals were created by renowned grandmaster graffiti artist Luis Gomez De Teran.

Tisserin provided advice on the structural design of the steel framed and acrylic portraits allowing them to appear to hover on top of the water.

The images on Perspex screens, made by the set designers Wyliewood, appear to float on the water at St James’ Park.

Bola met one of the honoured individuals, Sandra Igwe, founder of The Motherhood Group, at the unveiling, by Adele Roberts on the opening weekend.
