The Clubhouse is located at the heart of the Tottenham Hotspur Football Club training complex and provides state-of-the-art media spaces for filming and content creation with acoustically-isolated film, recording facilities and editing suites as well as new office space overlooking the first team training pitch.
The two-storey building is designed as a low-energy structure that responds to its greenbelt setting. With this in mind Tisserin designed and detailed a 14m column-free composite cross-laminated timber (CLT) and glulam structure. This low embodied carbon design enabled the club to maintain their media duties without disruption throughout the construction process as well as complimenting the timber cladding and living walls of the building’s facades.
A new 10m steel bridge connecting The Clubhouse to the existing facilities was designed to be installed in one piece, being rolled through the existing building before coming to rest in its final position.
